Speculation is coming out that Tottenham Hotspur want to sign Serge Gnabry.

According to Bild in Germany, Tottenham are keen on the Bayern Munich and former Arsenal winger this summer.

Every Spurs supporter knows how lethal the 26-year-old is.

No, not because of his Arsenal form, which was relatively average, but because he hammered four goals against them in a Champions League game a couple of seasons ago.

The Germany international netted four in a stunning 7-2 victory in North London during Mauricio Pochettino’s reign at the Premier League outfit.

The Bundesliga giants would go on to win the entire Champions League that year, completing a brilliant treble in the process.

The Arsenal academy product also scored two in a 3-0 semi-final victory over Lyon and, speaking to BT Sport after the game, Rio Ferdinand lavished praise on Gnabry.

He said: “He’s come to Germany and set the place on fire, he was absolutely stunning tonight. His decision making has been extraordinary. I’ll go as far as to say he’s one of the most improved players in football at the moment. I don’t think anyone’s upwards trajectory is as sharp as his.”

Ferdinand is clearly a massive fan of the player and in all likelyhood, Antonio Conte, the Tottenham manager, is too.

And let’s be honest, there’s a lot to admire about him.

However, with Liverpool also in the mix, and Jurgen Klopp’s outfit being miles better than Spurs, the Lilywhites could struggle if their Merseyside counterparts genuinely are interested.
