Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has told the club’s official website that he is ready to explode now.

The former Arsenal midfielder believes that he is ready to play regularly for Liverpool.

The 28-year-old midfielder has started two of the past three matches for the Reds.

The England international has also played in each of the last six games.

Injuries to players such as Curtis Jones and Thiago have helped Oxlade-Chamberlain.

And the midfielder – who earns £120,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac – has now sent a message to Liverpool manager Klopp.

What Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has said

Oxlade-Chamberlain said: “Look, a player like me who sometimes tries to do risky things – run with the ball, drive with the ball – obviously rhythm helps that.

“Rhythm helps all players, of course, but I think especially me with the way I play, with more game time and games it becomes a bit more natural and I don’t have to think about these things as much.

“So no, I think it’s getting better but obviously at the minute we’ve got a few injuries in midfield. Hopefully soon we’ll have everyone back and then the competition starts, but as long as I can be absolutely ready and be able to perform well if needed, I need to make sure I’m doing that.”

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain needs to consider his future

Oxlade-Chamberlain may be playing games now, but we have to say that when all the midfielders are fit and available, he will go back to being a squad player at Liverpool.

Thiago, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Curtis Jones all are ahead of the 28-year-old in the pecking order.

Yes, Oxlade-Chamberlain has had injury problems, but even when fit, he has not been able to get into the team.

The Liverpool no. 15 has made one start each in the Premier League and the Champions League so far this season.

The Englishman started just twice in the league last season and none at all in the Champions League.

Arsenal reportedly want to sign Oxlade-Chamberlain, and, in our view, he should at least consider a short-term deal with the Gunners.Oxlade-Chamberlain
