Some Manchester City fans on social media have been raving over the performance of Nathan Ake against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Ake has had quite an understated debut season in Manchester due to the brilliance of John Stones, Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte, but whenever he’s been called upon he’s been brilliant.
The centre-back was solid against Palace, barely putting a foot wrong and helping City towards a clean sheet.
The defender earnt plenty of praise on social media, and while he didn’t put in a blockbuster showing, City fans appreciated his solid performance.
Fans commented on the fact he’s been going under the radar, and we can’t help but agree that he deserves more credit than he’s been getting.
Fingers crossed Ake can build on this performance and cement himself as a key player in Pep Guardiola’s plans next season after a stop-start debut campaign.
