Some West Ham fans on social media have been reacting to the emerging transfer rumour about Crystal Palace and Fulham joining them in the race for Boulaye Dia.
The Hammers have been strongly linked with a move for the Reims striker this month, and with the London club needing a forward after selling Sebastien Haller, this is a move that would make a lot of sense.
However, there has now been doubt cast about whether or not David Moyes’ side can secure this deal, with their two London rivals now competing to sign the Senegal international.
Of course, West Ham are by no means out of the race, and they should be more financially equipped than either Fulham or Palace after receiving a hefty windfall for Haller.
As ever though, the fanbase didn’t quite see it that way, taking a much more pessimistic view of the rumour.
Indeed, many fans believe that this rumour signifies that West Ham won’t be landing Dia, with the Hammers regularly missing out on reported targets in the summer due to late swoops.
It would be disappointing if Dia ended up elsewhere this month, after all, he’s got 12 Ligue 1 goals to his name this term, but it seems as though the striker will now be spoilt for choice when it comes to which club he wants to join.
