Liverpool and Tottenham supporters saw the funny side to Carlo Ancelotti’s comments after the Everton boss set Richarlison a target of hitting 30 goals next season, as he told Sky Sports.
Richarlison has netted 13 Premier League goals this term – 15 in all competitions, including during Everton’s defeat against Liverpool earlier on in the campaign, but he hasn’t netted against Spurs.
The Reds are used to seeing the goals fly in through Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, whilst the North London side have Harry Kane causing havoc with his head, left foot and right foot.
Ancelotti made it clear that Richarlison shouldn’t target ’20 goals’ a season, but it should be a ‘minimum of 30’, as he told Sky Sports.
Following those comments from the Italian, a number of supporters, including those of Tottenham and Liverpool were keen to respond to his comments.
It’s fair to say that they didn’t agree with the Serie A legend, who has worked with and got the best out of a number of world-class players during his trophy-laden career.
From Didier Drogba to arguably the greatest player to have graced the earth in Cristiano Ronaldo – but for Richarlison to reach the levels of those players, he has to seriously up his game.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs and Liverpool fans reacting to Ancelotti’s comments:
