Dundee boss James McPake has backed Celtic loan man Leigh Griffiths to earn himself a contract somewhere next summer.
The Scotland international sees his deal at Celtic Park expire in June next year.
Griffiths, 31, is currently on loan at Dundee until the end of the season and has scored once in seven games so far.
He has been struggling with an ankle injury recently but is now ready to return to action.
Speaking to The Courier, McPake backs Griffiths to start firing for his side and believes he can land himself a contract in Scotland or England:

“Absolutely. It could be Celtic, the Championship in England, or another team in Scotland – It could be anything.
“He is still only 31 and that left foot of his still works. We know from the data that he can still hit high speeds. So it is about us getting him fit and this break has been good for him.”
There is no doubt that a fully fit Griffiths can be a force to be reckoned with in the Scottish Premiership. Since making the move to Celtic from Wolves in 2013, he has scored 123 goals in 261 games in all comeptitons for the Hoops.
The attacker has also won the league seven times, as well as the Scottish Cup on three occasions and League Cup on four.
He was given the green light to leave Celtic over the summer with it made clear that he wasn’t in Ange Postecoglou’s plans for this campaign.
However, Griffiths will be eager to show what he can do after a difficult first few months on loan at Dundee to try and earn himself a deal somewhere for next season.
McPake believes he has what it takes to get his career back on track, and time will tell what Celtic decide to do with him with his future up in the air.
