Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after an old photo of Gareth Bale and Dane Scarlett emerged after the 4-0 Europa League win.
The 16-year-old played alongside the 31-year-old against Wolfsberger on Wednesday, after coming on in the 81st minute.
Scarlett even managed to assist Carlos Vinicius for Tottenham’s fourth goal, after Bale smashed in the third.
Now, the photo that Tottenham fans have gone wild over dates back as far as when the 87-cap Wales international used to wear No.3 for Spurs.
It’s an image of Bale standing alongside a much younger version of Scarlett, during what could be the Harry Redknapp era as the pair are wearing Tottenham’s old Puma gear.
It truly is a baffling picture.
It’s crazy to think that the boy in this photo watched Bale jet off to Real Madrid, win four Champions League titles, before coming back and playing alongside him in the Europa League.
Scarlett really must be pinching himself at how quickly he has risen through the ranks.
The teenager only made three appearances for Tottenham’s Under-23 side, before coaches realised that he was too good for that level as well.
