Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after stumbling across some 46-second footage of Marcelo Bielsa discussing football fandom.

The clip – which seems quite old, as the Argentine nearly has a full head of hair – sees the Leeds boss discussing why fans are so important to football.

Bielsa dismisses the impact of coaches, the media, sporting directors, owners, referees and even the neutral spectator in the beautiful game.

We’re unsure of the context he’s speaking in, although Bielsa is keen to emphasise why the diehard, passionate football fan makes the game what it is.

He ends his speech – which one fan below described as ‘powerful’ – by saying that football is for the people, in what is a very moving passage.

To have somebody so aware of what football means to a supporter as your manager is something that the Elland Road faithful certainly shouldn’t take for granted.

Bielsa even seems to set his side up to entertain the Leeds fans, and give them a style of play that will put a smile on their face.

WhoScored shows that the ex-Marseille boss’ side record the fourth-most shots per game in the Premier League this season, with 14.2 efforts every 90 minutes.

If they didn’t know it already, the Leeds supporters are so lucky to have him.

Let’s see what’s been said about the footage…
