Some Newcastle United fans are reacting to Ivan Toney’s gesture on Saturday.
The 25-year-old came back to haunt Newcastle by scoring in Brentford’s 3-3 draw at St James’s Park.
Toney spent three years on the Magpies’ books but only ever made two league appearances for the Geordies.
After scoring yesterday, the English striker, who cost £10 million in 2020, kissed the Bees’ badge right in front of the home supporters at the Gallowgate.

Silly
This is silly and a little confusing for two reasons.
Firstly, Toney has only been with the London club for a little more than a year and surely he can’t love them that much already.
Secondly, this was a taunt at Newcastle fans more than anyone else.
And it wasn’t the supporters who decided to loan him out half-a-dozen times and then sell him to a League One club.
You can understand Toney’s want to acknowledge that he’s much better than the Magpies thought for a long time, but he went about it in quite a disrespectful way.
