Everton may have missed out on landing a new striker on deadline day, but they did manage to bring in another prospect for the future in Fulham’s Dennis Adeniran.
The Toffees went into deadline day looking for a left-sided defender and a centre forward, but their only first-team addition saw Nikola Vlasic arrive from recent Europa League opponents Hajduk Split.
Everton didn’t everything they wanted, but they did continue their recent focus on bringing in top young talents, having also brought in Lewis Gibson, Nathangelo Markelo, Josh Bowler and Boris Mathis over the course of the summer.
Now, Everton have confirmed on their official website that they have snapped up Fulham teenager Dennis Adeniran, with Sky Sports reporting that the fee involved is around £4million, including add-ons.
Adeniran, 18, is the latest product of the Fulham academy, which has produced the likes of Marcus Bettinelli, Ryan Sessegnon and Cauley Woodrow, though he has made just five first-team appearances for Fulham, scoring one goal.
Now, the midfielder is heading to Goodison Park to join up with Everton’s Under-23 side, and he will be hoping to break into the first team in the near future, just like Tom Davies, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ademola Lookman.

However, Fulham fans have taken to Twitter to react to the news, admitting that they think it’s a ‘dreadful decision’ to sell Adeniran, with many supporters gutted to see the teenager go.
Others can’t blame Adeniran for trying to further his career with a Premier League club, with many tipping him for a bright future after being left disappointed by his sudden departure.
