Gary Neville has said on ITV (4:32pm, June 15, 2021) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane simply cannot be dropped from the England team.

Tottenham striker Kane has told ITV in an interview that there is no guarantee of him starting all the time for England.

However, former Manchester United and England international defender Neville has claimed that the 27-year-old simply has to start.

Neville said on ITV (4:32pm, June 15, 2021) when asked if Kane is undroppable: “Absolutely. There is not a chance that he would be a sub for a football match for England. The best centre-forward in the country for a mile.”

Harry Kane is key for England

Okay, Kane did not have the best of games for England against Croatia at the weekend.

The likes of Kalvin Phillips, Tyrone Mings and Declan Rice have been making the headlines since that match.

However, one disappointing match should not detract anyone from the fact that Kane is England’s best player.

The Spurs star has scored 34 goals in 55 games for England.

Kane scored 23 goals and gave 14 assists in the Premier League for Tottenham this past season.

Of course, Kane has to do better than he did against Croatia, but no one should even contemplate dropping him from the team.

If England win Euro 2020, then it will be with Kane in the team and playing a big role.

England without Kane are simply not the same team.
