Don Hutchison has claimed that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be ‘absolutely fuming’ that Tottenham target, Romelu Lukaku, is ‘meeting clubs in Italy’ about a possible transfer, as he told ESPN.
The former midfielder added that Chelsea need to make a call on whether to sell their £98 million signing (Sky Sports) this summer.
Even though Lukaku scored only 15 goals in all competitions this season – Heung-Min Son scored 23 in the Premier League alone.
Antonio Conte worked with Lukaku at Inter Milan and now he wants to reunite with the Belgian striker at Spurs.
Hutchison spoke about Lukaku’s future following a season of stagnation after winning the Serie A title with Conte at Inter the year before.
“Gab had Lukaku down as a three out of ten (to leave Chelsea),” said Hutchison. “But then saying that his representatives have been meeting clubs in Italy.
“If I am Thomas Tuchel, then I am absolutely fuming if I am seeing this. It’s up to Tuchel to say ‘what are you doing? Because we aren’t selling you and if we aren’t selling you, then you are going to stay and fight for your place’.
“I am not hearing too much noise from Thomas Tuchel, which says to me that Chelsea are willing to maybe say ‘go on off you pop’.”

CONTE COULD REIGNITE LUKAKU AGAIN
If anyone can get Lukaku going again, then it’s Conte, who is the king of getting the best out of players, as he is now proving in north London.
But, his issue is that he is now in the Spurs dugout and not at the San Siro, so would Lukaku want to move across London?
Plus, it would also require Chelsea doing transfer business with Spurs, which hardly ever happens.
It would also mean Chelsea strengthening Spurs, and after they finished one place behind them in the table, once again, it’s unlikely they would allow such a deal to happen.
