Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Micah Richards has been talking about Tottenham Hotspur and their future recruitment.
Tottenham were once again beaten this weekend, further highlight the extent of the job Antonio Conte has on his hands in north London.
Something needs to change at Spurs, and Richards is of the opinion that the Lilywhites need to spend in excess of £100m in the summer.
What’s been said?
Richards gave his view on Spurs.
“Awful, absolutely awful and he should have known that when he was offered that job, but it’s not Conte’s problem. In the summer he needs to spend £100m+ get some proper players in and players who can actually perform. £100m+ I would go, maybe £150m, £200m whatever you can get. They need readymade players, Conte is a winner, he doesn’t have time to wait for these young players,” Richards said.

Rebuild needed
Richards says that Spurs need to spend in excess of £100m, and we’re inclined to agree.
The core of this squad needs a complete reform. A couple of quality centre-backs are needed as well as a leader in the middle of the park.
Antonio Conte could also do with a new right-wing-back being added to his roster, and if Tottenham are to get solid players in each of those positions, it will cost a pretty penny.
Conte needs serious backing from Daniel Levy this summer.
