West Ham beat Leicester City 4-1 on Monday night, and there’s one man who absolutely stole the show.
If you watched the game you know we’re talking about Michail Antonio.
The striker was sublime against the Foxes, and while he did score two goals, his game was about so much more than putting the ball into the back of the net.
Indeed, Antonio put in one of the all-time great centre-forward showings. He was constantly causing problems, and when a couple of chances came his way, he was as clinical as ever.
One man who was certainly impressed was Chris Sutton.
Sutton knows what it takes to be a top-class striker at this level, and it’s fair to say that Antonio has really impressed with his showing here.
West Ham have been linked with numerous strikers this summer, but the reality is that if they can keep Antonio fit, they will have one of the best number nines in the country.
This was a blockbuster performance against one of the best teams in the Premier League, and after two wins to start the season, they can start dreaming of finishing in the top four this season.
Antonio is a brilliant striker and West Ham are very lucky to have him.
