Ally McCoist has said on Amazon Prime Video (9:34pm, March 10, 2022) that Luke Ayling played well for Jesse Marsch’s Leeds United in the Premier League game against Aston Villa.
The former Rangers and Sunderland striker made the comments about Ayling while watching him in action for Leeds against Villa at Elland Road on Thursday evening.
The Scotsman was impressed by the defender, telling his co-commentator that he agreed with him about the 30-year-old being able to hold his head high despite the final result.
Leeds lost 3-0 to Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League on Thursday evening.
McCoist said about Ayling in the 93rd minute: “You are absolutely right. He can. As per usual, to be fair to him.”

Luke Ayling played well for Leeds United v Aston Villa
In our view, Ayling played well for Leeds and showed his importance to the team.
Yes, the West Yorkshire club lost, but there was little that the former Arsenal prospect could do to stop the three goals that his side conceded.
Ayling kept Ollie Watins and Danny Ings quiet and was very vocal at the back.
The defender is not exactly one of the best in the Premier League, but he does do his job with commitment and gives his all on the pitch.
