Arsenal prospect Miguel Azeez hasn’t been blowing people away on loan as of yet.
The Gunners loaned their 20-year-old starlet to Portsmouth this past summer.
It was thought that his first experience of men’s football could take his development to the next level.
But so far, the Arsenal man is struggling in a big way.
Azeez has managed only 59 minutes of League One football all season and was an unused substitute in last night’s 4-0 hammering by Ipswich Town.
It was the fifth time that Pompey boss Danny Cowley has named him on the bench but failed to use him in a match.
Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted to Cowley’s decision last night:
Patience
Patience is needed by Arsenal fans and most importantly, Azeez himself.
It’s well known that League One is a major step up on Under-23 football and therefore all parties need to just continue.
The kid has less than an hour of senior football under his belt and if he’s the real deal, which he’s supposed to be very much, then he’ll adapt and begin flourishing.
If he doesn’t, and this continues until January, Arsenal will seriously consider pulling the plug and bringing him back to Colney.
