Roberto Mancini’s side reigned supreme at Wembley after beating the Three Lions in a penalty shootout.
And Chiesa, a reported Liverpool target, was arguably the best player on the field.
Well, the best attacking player, because both defences – including centre-back pairings of Harry Maguire and John Stones, and Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini – were sublime for two hours.
But the Juventus winger was at the heart of anything that the Italians created for 90 minutes, before a late injury brought an end to his final.
According to Calciomercato, the Anfield club have already reached out to Juve about signing the £77 million-rated attacker.

Yes, Mohamed Salah will still be the Reds’ go-to-guy in terms of goals, but Sadio Mane only managed 16 in all competitions last season.
For his standards, it’s a pretty poor return and an additional wide player is exactly what Klopp needs if Liverpool want to wrestle their Premier League title back from Manchester City.
