When Everton midfielder Amadou Onana was playing a game of FIFA for the Premier League’s official channel he had the opportunity to pick from a Chelsea and Brighton duo.
Following his transfer to Chelsea from Manchester City, life hasn’t exactly been plain sailing for Raheem Sterling and he has found that many wide players have outperformed him.
That includes the man educated on how to dribble, Kaoru Mitoma. A player who helped Brighton secure European football for the first time in their history last season.
But when Amadou Onana had to pick from the duo, he didn’t hesitate to back Raheem Sterling by calling him ‘an absolutely fantastic player’, as he told the Premier League’s channel.
Perhaps there is a little bit of bias there because he knows the England winger, but he is still showing his appreciation towards him.
Whilst life has been more down than up for the multiple Premier League title winner, class is still permanent and form is temporary.
And Amadou Onana is still giving his flowers to the man on Chelsea’s left when discussing who he would pick between him and Kaoru Mitoma.
Raheem Sterling or Kaoru Mitoma?
“I am going Raz (Sterling),” said Onana. “He is an absolutely fantastic player and I know him, so I will go Raz as well.”

Chelsea response in the FA Cup
That League Cup final defeat will still be hurting Chelsea and those effects will still be felt even if they beat Leeds United in the FA Cup on Wednesday night.
But lose to the Championship flyers, then the heat will seriously turn on Mauricio Pochettino in the billion-pound kitchen.
This is where players like Sterling need to step up and try to dig Chelsea out of their current mess because they are heading towards another trophyless season and bottom-half finish.
There is only so much the fans will accept as their patience has already probably worn thin.
