Chris Sutton has taken to Twitter to share his angry verdict on Celtic’s 4-2 defeat to AC Milan in the Europa League last night.
Neil Lennon’s out-of-form Hoops raced into a 2-0 lead after just 14 minutes, thanks to wonderful finishes from Tom Rogic and Odsonne Edouard.
However, a clumsy foul from Ryan Christie allowed Hakan Çalhanoğlu to whip a devilish freekick beyond Vasilis Barkas, and it was all downhill from there.
The Italian giants eventually equalised in the 26th minute, before two quality second-half goals from Jens Petter Hauge and Brahim Diaz completed the turnaround.
After full-time, a seemingly furious Sutton tweeted: ‘Europe has been an absolute embarrassment this season… we learnt nothing from tonight other than Celtic still can’t defend and the goalkeepers don’t make saves… buck stops with the manager but the players actually need to show some b***s…’

The ex-Celtic striker has every right to be annoyed.
Lennon is under serious pressure at Celtic Park, and a win at the San Siro of all places would’ve done his side’s confidence wonders.
A victory looked likely to be the case after Edouard’s wonderful dinked finish, although from that point on, the Bhoys completely capitulated.

Celtic now have just one point from their five Europa League outings in Group H, and will definitely finish bottom of the group.
Perhaps dropping out of Europe will be a blessing in disguise.
It will, hopefully, allow Lennon to begin clawing back ground on Rangers in the fight for the ten-in-a-row.
