Some Leeds United fans have criticised Aston Villa central defender Tyrone Mings on Twitter following the match between the two sides last night.

Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat to Villa at Elland Road in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Deep into injury time, the West Yorkshire club earned a corner. Although nothing materialised from it, Mings, 27 going down without seemingly being touched inside the box did not impress some fans of the home team, as shown below.

Mings probably made too much from that corner and was probably trying to run down the clock, but his performance for Villa against Leeds was very impressive.

The England international was a rock at the back and did not allow Leeds striker Patrick Bamford much space to work with.

The win against Leeds at Elland Road means that Villa have enhanced their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

The Villans were not exactly great against the Whites, but they defended well and kept the Leeds attackers at bay, and that must be applauded.
