The Premier League has seen a number of top-quality goals over the years. Some are remembered more often than others, and deciding on the best ever strike in the competition is never easy.
However, many Arsenal fans are of the opinion that Dennis Bergkamp’s strike against Newcastle United back in March 2002 is the greatest goal scored in the history of the Premier League.
The Gunners legend was a magician and is hailed by many as the best technical player in the club’s history. The Dutchman flicked the ball around Nikos Dabizas, held off the Newcastle man and found the net after the ball spun back into his path.
Bergkamp’s goal at Newcastle is undoubtedly one of the best in the history of the Premier League. The Arsenal legend’s strike had not been replicated by anyone for over 18 years, but some feel that Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus did it against Liverpool.
The Brazilian received the pass from Kevin de Bruyne and a clever piece of skill helped him get the ball away from Trent Alexander-Arnold. Jesus finished the move with a good strike, and that helped Pep Guardiola’s side pick up a point against the defending Premier League champions.

Many fans on social media have compared Jesus’s goal to Bergkamp’s wonder-strike. Arsenal supporters, predictably, were not impressed and slammed the comparisons on Sunday.
