‘Absolute disgrace’: Everton fans fume at news emerging from Manchester City

Everton fans have taken to Twitter in furious fashion after it was revealed that Manchester City had resumed training on Wednesday afternoon.

The news – revealed by the Daily Mail‘s Jack Gaughan and Dominic King – is said to have also angered the Toffees, as well as their supporters.

Everton are keen to know why their scheduled Premier League clash with the Citizens didn’t go ahead on Tuesday.

The Daily Mail state that the Merseysiders are ‘amazed’ at the handling of the situation.

They are yet to be given a full explanation as to why the game was postponed.

Pep Guardiola’s side had the required 14 players needed to partake in a Premier League match under COVID-19 regulations.

The Daily Mail add that Manchester City’s return to training – so soon after postponing the game – has only added to Everton’s desire to get to the bottom of the situation.

It’s certainly a baffling situation from an Everton point-of-view, and the supporters below are rightly angered by the Citizens’ swift return to training.

At the time of writing, there has been no news regarding the date of the rearranged fixture.

If Everton can find some form of wrongdoing, however, then they could stake a claim to be handed the three points, in our view.
