Micah Richards has said on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:29pm, November 27, 2021) that Leeds United left-back Junior Firpo really struggled against Tariq Lamptey on Saturday.
The former Manchester City right-back has noted that Firpo could not cope with Lamptey during the Premier League game between Brighton and Leeds last night.
The match ended in a goalless draw.
Junior Firpo verdict
Richards said on Match of the Day on BBC One (11:29pm, November 27, 2021): “Firpo had an absolute disaster against him.”
The BBC pundit added: “Firpo didn’t know what day was it. Didn’t know what he had come up against.”

Tough day for Leeds player
Brighton were the better team last night, and Lamptey was absolutely superb.
Lamptey started on the right of a midfield-three behind Neal Maupay upfront and was a constant problem for Leeds.
Firpo started at left-back and really struggled.

The 25-year-old, who earns £55,000 per week (SalarySport), got a yellow card as well.
The Leeds no. 3 had a pass accuracy of 68.2%, won two headers, took 37 touches, attempted one dribble, made two tackles, one interception and one clearance, and put in one cross.
Now, we know that Firpo is a good player.
One bad game does not make any footballer bad.
However, the former Barcelona left-back will face similar quality players in the coming week and months in the Premier League.
The experience of playing against Lamptey will prepare Firpo.
