West Ham fans have taken to Twitter in annoyance at what Jim White said about Vladimir Coufal, David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady on talkSPORT.
The talkSPORT pundit said that ‘GSB’ deserve credit for overseeing the arrivals of Coufal and his fellow Czech Republic international Tomas Soucek.
White makes the point that West Ham supporters were frustrated at seeing the right-back arrive from Slavia Prague for £5 million because of the small fee he cost.
White argues that fans were questioning what type of quality can be bought for such a tiny amount of money.
In actual fact, the supporters were more concerned about where the £18 million earned from the sale of Grady Diangana had gone.
Seeing as the club released a statement saying those funds would be ‘reinvested entirely’ on new players, they had every right to moan about where the remaining £13 million had gone.
Also, in our view, we remember a sense of excitement at Coufal’s arrival, mainly because of how successful Soucek was having come from the same club, and the same national team.
That is why the West Ham fans have reacted angrily to White’s comments.
