
Leeds United kept the best for last in their win over Newcastle United on Wednesday.
The Whites absolutely hammered Steve Bruce’s side 5-2 at Elland Road to move above the North-East outfit in the table, now sitting 13th.
It was 2-2 with only 25 minutes to go, but Leeds’ fitness levels showed and goals in the final quarter from Stuart Dallas, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison inspired Marcelo Bielsa’s troops to a big win.
And it was that last goal from Harrison that really was the cherry on top.
Leeds broke at pace as Harrison galloped from the half-way line, before knocking the ball past a Newcastle player and unleashing a fine left-footed drive into the top corner, beyond a helpless Karl Darlow.

This was the 24-year-old’s second goal of the Premier League season – his first being another cracker in the 4-3 defeat by Liverpool on the first day of the campaign.
Harrison, on loan from Manchester City, has come such a long way under Bielsa, given how inconsistent he was when he first arrived in West Yorkshire in 2018.
