Manchester United are on the verge of signing Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the German side confirmed a deal has been struck.
United have already had a busy summer, having appointed Jose Mourinho as their new manager in place of Louis van Gaal, and then splashed out for Ivory Coast international defender Eric Bailly and free agent striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Now, a third signing of the Mourinho era is imminent, as Borussia Dortmund announced on their official website earlier today that playmaker Mkhitaryan is heading to Old Trafford.
Mkhitaryan, 27, has been a star for Dortmund ever since signing from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2013, but it was last season which catapulted the Armenian into the elite category.

With 18 goals and 20 assists, Mkhitaryan was simply sensational for Thomas Tuchel’s side, and formed a devastating front three alongside Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Now though, Mkhitaryan is heading to Old Trafford, with Sky Sports reporting that the fee involved is around £26.3m – and fans are certainly happy with the deal.

United supporters took to Twitter to today to share their excitement about Mkhitaryan’s arrival, with some even suggesting that he’s an absolute bargain in the current market.
Others feel that he’s an even bigger signing than Ibrahimovic, but want to see Juan Mata stay at the club despite Mkhitaryan and Mourinho arriving at the club…
