Well, Olivier Ntcham’s form hasn’t totally gone to the dogs, despite a dismal end to last season with Celtic.

The French midfielder struggled in a big way once Neil Lennon replaced Brendan Rodgers in February, and only started a handful of games under the new Celtic manager.

It’s been a bit of a decline for the 23-year-old and his future at Parkhead now looks up in the air, with Ntcham admitting earlier this month that he could leave Glasgow following links to Lyon and Marseille.

The former Manchester City youth, a £4.5 million signing under Rodgers two years ago, impressed for France on Friday as they beat Croatia in the Under-21s European Championship.

It’s a bit worrying how Ntcham has suddenly turned on the style amid speculation that some big French clubs are tracking him.

If we’re cynical, which we’re supposed to be during the transfer market, then there’s an argument to be made that he’s trying to showcase his talents as much as possible with a view to getting a move away from Celtic.
