The Chelsea loanee was reportedly on the radar of Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers in January but he chose to stay put at the Championship side.

Tammy Abraham has spoken out on why he chose to stay at Aston Villa and his answer was exactly what many overjoyed fans wanted to hear.
The on-loan Chelsea ace has been a sensation at Villa Park, with 19 Championship goals so far putting him top of the league’s goalscoring chart ahead of the likes of Billy Sharp and Teemu Pukki.
According to BBC Sport, Abraham was linked with a move to Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers, something which would have infuriated Villa fans due to the West Midlands rivalry.
However, the 21-year-old stayed put at Villa Park and is kicking on with his mission of delivering the goals which will hopefully get the claret and blue side back into the Premier League after years in the second tier.
Ahead of Saturday’s trip to Berkshire to face Championship strugglers Reading, Abraham spoke to the official Villa website and explained why he opted to stay at B6, with his first six words summing it up nicely.
“I felt like here was home,” he said. “It has been since I stepped through the door in August. Everyone has made me feel so welcome. Obviously you have the gaffer and the likes of John Terry here. It feels like one big family. Everything is great here.”

Abraham also gave credit to manager Dean Smith and assistant – and Chelsea legend – Terry for not only making him feel welcome but also for instilling the belief that promotion was a possibility despite a difficult start to the campaign.
“Dean Smith and JT called me every day,” he added. “They told me I’d continue to score lots of goals here and that they believed I could take us up. When someone believes in you that deeply, it gives you that confidence. You want to go out there every game and you don’t just want to do the best for yourself – but for the staff, the coaches and everyone else.”
Following Abraham’s interview, some Villa fans took to Twitter and, among the praise, there was also some dreaming of a permanent switch from Stamford Bridge:
