Given that they are bottom of the Premier League table and without a permanent manager following the dismissal of Paul Clement, Swansea City could certainly do with some good fortune.

Luck doesn’t appear to be on their side at present, however, with striker Wilfried Bony having been ruled out of the games at home to Crystal Palace and away to Liverpool with a hamstring injury, as reported by The Daily Mail.

After a slow start upon his return to Swansea, Bony has been hugely impressive of late and scored in successive games against Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion as he captained the side.

However, with Bony unavailable, Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham will be given an opportunity to step up against Palace and Liverpool.

Abraham has been a regular in the starting lineup this season but was amongst the substitutes for the defeat to Everton on Monday.

With Bony off injured, Abraham had to enter the fray after just five minutes but the England international was unable to find the net and, after impressing earlier in the season, has now gone nine Premier League games without scoring.

Abraham will be determined to take his chance over the next two games with Bony out of the side and demonstrate that he deserves to play regularly even if Swansea do elect to have just one player up front.
