The Aberdeen boss has had his odds cut from 10/1 to be the new boss of Sunderland.

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes is the new favourite to succeed David Moyes at Sunderland, according to Sky Bet‘s latest odds.
Joint-fifth on the list on Tuesday evening, McInnes’ odds have been cut from 10/1 to 7/4 in less than 24 hours.
Sam Allardyce was previous the front-runner after speculation emerged he could quit Crystal Palace, something he subsequently did.

However, the former Sunderland boss later announced in a statement that he would not be pursuing another managerial role, causing him to drift from 3/1 to 10/1.
Nigel Pearson [previously 9/2] and Kevin Phillips [6/1] remain second and third favourites, although their odds are now slightly longer at 5/1 and 7/1 respectively, while Aitor Karanka has been cut from 10/1 to 8/1.

If McInnes is the man for Sunderland, it is unlikely we will see any movement until after the weekend, when Aberdeen face Celtic in the final of the Scottish Cup.
The 45-year-old has previous Championship management experience from his time at Bristol City, and won promotion from Scotland’s equivalent division with St Johnstone eight years ago.
