Celtic have made a tremendous start to the season and continued their run with a narrow win over the Dons.
Following their clash on Saturday, Aberdeen defender Mark Reynolds has described Celtic as a machine and claimed that they have stepped up a gear under Brendan Rodgers, The Scottish Sun reports.
A stunning first-half strike from Tom Rogic proved to be the difference at Pittodrie as the Hoops maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign and extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

But the 1-0 victory was only secured after Celtic withstood an enormous amount of pressure from Derek McInnes’ men in the dying moments of the match. And it is the way that they managed to survive the late pressure that has convinced Reynolds that they have taken their game to the next level this term.
“It is not disheartening to see Celtic so far ahead because we know they are a machine who just grind out those league wins,” he said, as reported by The Scottish Sun.

“They have found a new gear this season and are batting teams aside.
“The gap is there because they are winning games and you can’t argue with that.”
In recent years, the Bhoys always had the potential to leave the door slightly open for the Dons at certain stages throughout the campaign.

However, under Rodgers, they appear to have discovered a ruthless streak domestically that has enabled them to open a nine point lead at the top of the table after just 10 fixtures, even though they have played at least one less game than every other team in the division.
And having shown a different side to themselves against Aberdeen, as they protected their narrow lead rather than looked to demolish their opponents, it appears that they may have already shut the door on all of their rivals.
