Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have snapped up four new players so far this month.

Derek McInnes has told the Press and Journal that he is impressed with the business that Glasgow Rangers have done this month.

The Ibrox side have made four additions so far, with more new players set to be added to Graeme Murty’s squad in the near future.

And McInnes, who turned down the chance to manage Rangers to stay with Aberdeen, said: “At the start of the season Rangers were huge favourites to finish second and I think with the signings they have made it’s even more so.

“They have made some good, short-term signings this month, adding three international players.

“They have made really good signings, they are all signings that you would have expected Rangers to make previously.”

Rangers have stuck to bringing in British players this month, after looking round the continent in the summer.

Rangers had limited success with Pedro Caixinha’s transfer plans, and Murty has stuck to a more tried and tested method.

Rangers will now be looking to push up the table over the second half of the campaign.

The Light Blues are currently trailing McInnes’ Aberdeen side in the Scottish Premiership table by three points, but they will leapfrog the Dons if they are able to pick up a victory when the two sides meet later this evening.
