Rangers hammered Aberdeen 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha has told the club’s official website that he celebrated so wildly after Joe Dodoo’s goal against Aberdeen because he felt it killed the game off.
The Gers travelled to Pittodrie on Sunday afternoon in search of a vital three points, given that Aberdeen sat 12 points clear of them in the race for second place in the Scottish Premiership.
Rangers had to win, and they did just that with a stunning six-minute blitz, in which the Gers found the net three times, with Kenny Miller grabbing a brace to make it 2-0.
Joe Dodoo then sealed the win by driving down the left flank before cutting inside to smash into the net, leaving goalkeeper Joe Lewis with absolutely no chance.
After Dodoo’s shot hit the back of the net, new Rangers boss Caixinha was seen dropping to his knees on the touchline in an animated celebration, punching the air as Rangers sealed their win.
Now, days on from the event, Caixinha has told the club’s official website that the reason for his animated celebration was because he felt that Dodoo’s goal really killed the game off as a contest, giving Aberdeen no chance of a comeback.

Caixinha admitted that he is a ‘very passionate guy’, and he can’t help but let his emotions come out in certain moments, with Dodoo’s goal clearly one instance where the Portuguese boss had to celebrate wildly.
“I enjoyed all of our goals, but especially the third one because I felt that one really killed them totally with their hopes in doing something in the game,” said Caixinha. “It was good for the emotional balance of our team and for their confidence too. I am a very passionate guy, sometimes I can keep the emotions inside but at other times I can’t,” he added.
It wasn’t quite sprinting down the touchline or running around the Camp Nou like Caixinha’s compatriot Jose Mourinho has been known to do during celebrations, but it was a real show of emotion and passion from Caixinha – something Rangers fans will have loved to see.
