Mark Warburton’s Glasgow Rangers will face Partick Thistle at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
Partick Thistle midfielder Abdul Osman has told The Glasgow Evening Times that he and his teammates are not going to show any respect to Rangers.
Alan Archibald’s side will take on Rangers away from home at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.
The Jags will head into the match in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon on the back of a 1-1 draw with Motherwell at home.
Thistle midfielder Osman has stated that he and his teammates are not going to show any respect to Rangers.
The 29-year-old former Crewe Alexandra and Northampton Town midfielder has also claimed that Rangers are not a bigger team than Celtic.
“We have to impose ourselves on the game and not show them any respect,” Osman told The Glasgow Evening Times.
“I don’t think they are any bigger a side than Celtic, so we’ve got to go there and play our game, and with them struggling a bit as well we’ll just see what happens.
“They are struggling at the minute as well, so it’s a game we have to go into with confidence and just try to play our football.”
Rangers are seventh in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with nine points from seven matches.
The Gers, who won promotion from the Scottish Championship at the end of last season, are seven points behind leaders and Old Firm rivals Celtic, who also have a game in hand.
As for Thistle, they are at the foot of the league table at the moment with just five points from six matches.
