Everton must renew their interest in the Watford ace.

Marco Silva the head coach

It will be vital for Everton boss Marco Silva to strengthen his squad at Goodison Park this summer.

The Toffees have already signed Andre Gomes on a permanent deal from Barcelona, but Silva must not stop there.

Especially if Idrissa Gueye leaves this summer.

According to a report from French publication Paris United, Paris Saint-Germain want to sign the Senegal international, with Everton demanding £45 million for his signature.

At 29, Gueye is probably looking to make one final big move, and it would be no surprise to see him leave Goodison before the start of the new season.

And if that does happen, Everton must renew their interest in Watford ace Abdoulaye Doucoure, who earns £70,000 per week according to Spotrac.

The Blues wanted to sign the 26-year-old in January, according to the Mirror, and now seems like the perfect time to revisit their interest in the Frenchman.

According to the Mirror, Doucoure is valued at around £40 million.

Tough-tackling and tenacious

The Watford ace is as aggressive and hard-working as they come, and he would be the ideal Gueye replacement.

Energy and drive

Doucoure is three years younger than Gueye, and because of that, he can get around the pitch better than the Senegal international.

He would make Everton even more dynamic with his box-to-box playing style.

Perfect Gomes partner

The Frenchman seems to be the perfect central midfield partner for Everton’s new signing Andre Gomes.

The Portuguese is a cultured midfielder, with plenty of creativity and guile. Doucoure, meanwhile, excels at doing the dirty work, and the two seem to be ideally suited to play alongside one another.
