Calciomercato have relayed La Repubblica’s report that Sampdoria are now willing to lower the fee to sell Leeds United-linked techncian Abdelahmid Sabiri.
A recent report by Samp News 24 claimed that the Serie A side were demanding at least £8.8 million (€10 million) to let Sabiri part ways with the club.
It has also been claimed by the outlet that Jesse Marsch’s side are not the only club interested in signing the Moroccan international.
In fact, other top European outfits such as Fiorentina, Lyon and Real Betis were also keen on wrapping up a deal for Abdelahmid Sabiri.
For those that are unfamiliar with his game, the Leeds-linked star is an attacking midfielder by trade.
Furthermore, Sabiri is one of the finest dribblers amongst midfielders across the top five leagues in Europe.
As per Fbref, the silky operator is in the top 9% amongst players in his position for dribbles completed per game (1.45) over the past 365 days.
It’s safe to say that Leeds could do with a player that boasts as much invention to his skillset.
Now, it seems they could snap him at a bargain fee.

A latest report relayed by Calciomercato has stated that Sampdoria have lowered the fee to sell the Leeds-linked Abdelahmid Sabiri from anywhere in the region between £7 million (€8 million) and £8.8 million.
As mentioned earlier, the initial fee demanded for Sabiri by the Italian club was at least £8.8 million (€10 million).
Good news for Leeds United
It goes without saying that this is a positive update from a Leeds United point of view.
Abdelahmid Sabiri, who endured a difficult spell at Huddersfield in the past will have a point to prove if a return to England materialises.
With Sabiri being the profile of player that would shine at Leeds, the club now could sign him at a more reasonable fee.
