The Welsh international put in a wonderful midfield performance for Arsenal on Sunday.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has come in for plenty of criticism this season but against Bournemouth the Welsh international delivered a wonderful performance.
The Gunners scored two quick-fire goals courtesy of Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and both owed much to the craft of Ramsey.
The 25-year-old has now scored five goals and provided four assists in 28 appearances this season and while that is well below his best he is not shirking his responsibilities despite some below-par performances leading up to this encounter.
| Passing Accuracy | Goal Assists | Key Passes | Dispossessed | Duels Won | Tackles Won | Interceptions Won | Ball Recoveries | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aaron Ramsey | 86% | 1 | 2 | 1 | 12 | 4 | 4 | 12 | 90 |
On Sunday Ramsey had a passing accuracy of 86 per cent and he played two key passes; however it was his defensive contribution that should not go unnoticed.
The Arsenal player won a very impressive 12 duels, four tackles and four interceptions while he recovered the ball on 12 occasions.
Ramsey was also dispossessed just once in 90 minutes and at this rate he will have a vital role to play in Arsenal’s ongoing title charge.
