The Arsenal midfielder harbours ambitions of playing in Spain at some point in his career and believes his playing style suits Barcelona.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is likely to concern his current supporters with his latest comments to Spanish outlet Marca, admitting that he would love to play in La Liga and could see himself fitting in nicely at Barcelona.
The Gunners midfielder was not quite able to repeat his goalscoring exploits of recent years this season but he was still in fine form for much of the campaign and is a key player for Arsene Wenger’s side.
After there was speculation from some corners in January that Spanish giants Barca were beginning to register interest in bringing the 25-year-old to the Nou Camp, Welsh legend Ian Rush claimed earlier in 2016 that his compatriot is good enough to walk into the Catalan club.
Ramsey has not appeared to show any desire to leave Arsenal thus far in his career, but speaking to Spanish outlet Marca he admitted that he would love to be able to test himself in La Liga at some point.
The Wales international said: “Barcelona play football very well and at Arsenal we want to do the same. I’ve said it before: I would love to play in La Liga one day, at one of the big clubs.
“I watch the league every week. It suits my style. Maybe I will [move] someday, who knows what will happen in the future?”
The admission is likely to concern Arsenal fans, for whom Ramsey has generally moved from an inconsistent and frustrating talent to a key cog in the midfield at the Emirates Stadium.
The midfielder will have an opportunity to impress any potential Spanish suitors this summer as he takes part in his first major tournament with Wales at Euro 2016 next month.
