Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has said on the club’s Twitch channel (12:12pm, September 30, 2021) that his teammate Emile Smith Rowe is not very clever.
Ramsdale, who joined Arsenal from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021, made the comment about Smith Rowe when asked to name the funniest players at the Gunners.
The 23-year-old has said that Smith Rowe, 21, is funny, but the English attacking midfielder is not very clever.
Ramsdale said on Arsenal’s Twitch channel (12:12pm, September 30, 2021): “Emile Smith Rowe’s funny because he is not very clever whatsoever. He is funny.”
It is quite an interesting revelation about Smith Rowe.
However, it does not take away anything from the fact that the 21-year-old, who can also play out wide, is a very good and creative player who has a lot of footballing intelligence.
Smith Rowe has come through the Arsenal academy and has established himself as a key figure in manager Mikel Arteta’s team.
The Arsenal no.10 has scored one goal and provided one assist in five Premier League starts so far this season.
The 21-year-old scored two goals and gave four assists in the league, and scored one goal and provided three assists in the Europa League last season.
For Arsenal to have a successful season, Smith Rowe will have to be on top of his game throughout.
