Darren Bent has said on Sky Sports that he was wrong about Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has said that he was not sure about Ramdale when Arsenal signed him from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021.
The Sky Sports pundit, who is an Arsenal fan, has now changed his stance over Ramsdale following his impassive performances.
Bent has noted how passionate Ramsdale is after he does something important in the game.
Praise for Arsenal’s Ramsdale
The Englishman said about Ramsdale on Sky Sports: “One thing that Arsenal lacked was leaders, people who have got a bit of passion.
“And every time he makes a save or something happens, you see him up there, you see him screaming, but he is doing it the right way.
“He is not doing it for the cameras. He is doing it because it genuinely means something to him.
“I think it was the perfect signing. I questioned it and thought, ‘I don’t quite see this’. But since he has got the role…”

Arsenal no. 1
Bernd Leno started the season as the number one goalkeeper for Arsenal.
And now the Germany international cannot get a game.
Yes, Ramsdale is that good.
The 23-year-old is brilliant with his feet, claims crosses with confidence, makes important saves, and commands his area well.
Ramdale is still only 23, and it is clear that he will improve and develop in the coming years.
What is clear is that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta rates Ramsdale highly.
As you can see from the tweets below, some Arsenal fans love how Ramsdale is on the pitch and see him as a future captain.
