Jamie Carragher noted on Sky Sports Premier League (9:44pm, October 22, 2021) that Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was “furious” when Aston Villa scored.
What’s the story?
Arsenal got the better of Villa 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League last night.
It was a pretty convincing victory for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta’s side were 3-0 up after 56 minutes.
However, Arsenal conceded in the 82nd minute when Jacob Ramsey curled the ball into the top corner from 20 yards.
While it was a very good goal, Thomas Partey should have done better in the build-up.
Jamie Carragher’s observation
Former Liverpool defender Carragher was on co-commentary duty for the match on Sky Sports.
The Englishman noted that when Arsenal conceded the goal, Ramsdale was very angry.
Carragher said in the 82nd minute: “See the reaction from Aaron Ramsdale. He’s furious. Challenges missed on the edge of the box.”

Very encouraging from Aaron Ramsdale
Ramsdale was indeed angry when the Villa goal went in.
In our view, this shows just how much the goalkeeper cares about keeping clean sheets.
Arsenal were pretty much perfect against Dean Smith’s side except for when they conceded.
The 23-year-old – who earns £35,000 per week as salary, according to SportsKeeda – has established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal.
