Rangers winger Aaron Nemane has commented on his start to life at Ibrox.
Recent Rangers signing Aaron Nemane has been quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times as saying that training sessions under Pedro Caixinha are ‘completely different’ to the sessions at Manchester City.
Rangers completed deals for 11 new signings over the summer, and whilst signings such as Fabio Cardoso, Bruno Alves, Ryan Jack, Graham Dorrans, Carlos Pena and Alfredo Morelos grabbed the headlines, one deal that may have slipped through the cracks was the move for winger Aaron Nemane.
Nemane, 20, was born in France but moved to England at a young age, and has been coming up through the ranks with City, turning out for their youth and reserve teams regularly in recent years.
Yet, with his contract expiring at the end of the season and no clear path to the Manchester City first team, Nemane has moved on in order to join Rangers on loan until January.
Nemane will be looking to impress Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha, and whilst he has played just ten minutes of first-team action across two substitute appearances, he has commented on his start to life at Ibrox.
Nemane has been quoted by the Glasgow Evening Times as saying that he couldn’t say no to Rangers when they cam calling for his signature, and he wants to earn valuable experience in Scotland.
The winger also noted that training sessions at Rangers are ‘completely different’ to life at City, as he is now training with experienced pro’s rather than fellow young players, and the physicality is so much more prominent than with Pep Guardiola’s side.
Nemane added that he is enjoying being under pressure at Ibrox, and Caixinha is very demanding, as Rangers look to return to their former glories at the pinnacle of Scottish football.
“I spoke to my agent, spoke to people at City and Rangers wanted me. Obviously I can’t say no to Rangers,” said Nemane. “[I want to get] a lot of first team experience because I have not had that at City. I am going to get some experience here. I am a very direct player, I like to get on the ball and make chances, score goals, get assists.”
“The training sessions are completely different to at City, especially because I used to train with my own age. Here I am training with professionals. It is much faster and you have to be cleverer. I think the physical aspect is more demanding here than it was at City. It is always good to learn from experienced players, get some stuff from them, copy their play.”
“It is good to be under pressure here. You have got to learn, because everywhere you go you will be under pressure. The manager is very demanding, which is what you want. He wants to win and everybody wants to win, which is good,” he added.
