Burnley completed the signing of Aaron Lennon from Everton in the January transfer window.

Speed machine Aaron Lennon has told Burnley’s official website that he decided to leave Everton in the January transfer window because he was not being afforded enough game time at Goodison Park.
The 30-year-old signed a three-year deal with Sean Dyche’s side at Turf Moor in the January transfer window, after Theo Walcott had completed a £20million move from Arsenal to Everton.
The likes of Walcott, Yannick Bolasie, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Nikola Vlasic provided competition for Lennon that appeared to be too much to handle, while Kevin Mirallas and Ademola Lookman are out on loan in Greece and Germany respectively.

21-time England international Lennon spoke out ahead of Saturday’s fixture between Burnley and Everton at Turf Moor, stating that first-team game time was his reason for moving on and stated that he made the correct choice to join Burnley.
“I want to play, like everyone else, each week, and obviously it had to come to the time where you start to look it at and think ‘I’ve missed a lot of football in the last year-and-a-half maybe it’s time to move on’. And I made the right decision,” Lennon said.
“I enjoyed my time at Everton. They are a great group of lads and have some good quality players. People will be probably look at them on paper and think they should be higher or have done better.”

Lennon has failed to turn around Burnley’s poor form of late, with the Clarets drawing three times and losing once since the former Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur moved to Lancashire.
However, Burnley earned a win over Everton earlier in the season thanks to a first-half strike from Irish midfielder Jeff Hendrick and they will be hoping for a repeat of October’s result.
