Palace, though, will reportedly not entertain any offers for the 25-year-old winger, who is arguably the best player at the Eagles.
The Toffees’ (reported) interest in Zaha is very much understandable. The Ivory Coast international is one of the best attacking players in the Premier League, and manager Sam Allardyce has worked with him at Palace.
Everton’s (reported) interest in the former Manchester United winger should be a concern for Aaron Lennon.
Lennon is playing well for Everton at the moment and has been an important figure in the Toffees’ recent revival.
The 30-year-old, who completed a permanent move from Spurs to Everton in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Post to be worth £4.5 million when Roberto Martinez was in charge of the Toffees, is out of contract at the end of the season.
Zaha is five years younger than the former Tottenham winger and is also a better footballer.
Moreover, Yannick Bolasie is on his way back from a long-term injury, and the 28-year-old DR Congo international winger will be a regular starter once he gets his full match fitness back.
If Everton sign Zaha in January, then as the season progresses, Lennon will become a squad player, and this should be a concern for him.
