Burnley winger Aaron Lennon is closing in on a return to action.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has told the Burnley Express that winger Aaron Lennon is getting closer to a return to action.
The veteran wide man has hit one goal and one assist in 16 Premier League this season, but hasn’t featured at all in 2019.
Lennon suffered a knee injury back in December which required surgery, and he has been on the Turf Moor sidelines ever since.
Some didn’t expect to see Lennon again before the end of the season, but boss Dyche has given fans hope of seeing him in the coming weeks.
Dyche has stated that, “Aaron’s got a chance, I think over the next few weeks”, meaning the 31-year-old could yet play for Burnley again this term.

That could be hugely interesting to Leeds United, as The Sun report that the Whites are interested in brining Lennon back to Elland Road this summer.
Leeds-born Lennon came up through the club’s ranks before leaving for Tottenham Hotspur in 2005, and 14 years on, it’s claimed that Marcelo Bielsa is interested in re-signing him.
Yet the next few weeks can show Leeds how Lennon has recovered from his injury, as it may be a major blow for the 31-year-old at this stage in his career, and the Whites must keep tabs on his performances before making a summer move.
