Everton winger Aaron Lennon has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the win against Newcastle United on Wednesday evening.

The Toffees continued their resurgence in form, as they got the better of Newcastle 1-0 away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

Lennon started the match and played for 61 minutes, and the former Tottenham Hotspur winger has expressed his delight at the victory.

The 30-year-old, who completed a permanent move from Spurs to Everton in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Post to be worth £4.5 million, has admitted that it was a scrappy game.

Everton fans seem to have been impressed with the performance of Lennon and have responded positively to his message on Twitter.
