Everton have been linked with Manchester United winger Memphis Depay.
Aaron Lennon has told Sky Sports that he would not be fazed if Everton did make a move for Memphis Depay in January.
Ronald Koeman has already confirmed that Everton are interested in signing the Manchester United winger.
And, although the arrival of Depay would make it even harder for Lennon to break into the Toffees’ first-team, the rapid wide-man insists that he would welcome the Dutchman to Goodison Park.
“That [the rumours that Depay will join] doesn’t affect me and never has,” Lennon said.
“Speculation has never bothered me and them signing Yannick Bolasie didn’t faze me. There is competition in all the top clubs and Everton’s a massive club now.
“I’ve been at Spurs in the past and am used to two or three wingers or maybe four in each club. You’ve got to fight for your position and I’m confident in my ability.
“You bide your time and if you get your chance you’ve got to take it.
Lennon is already struggling to stake his claim for a place at Everton, and he has been used very sparingly so far this term.
Although the 29-year-old did start in Everton’s most recent match against Liverpool, he has found it hard to break into Koeman’s team.
Lennon has made just 10 appearances for the Toffees so far this campaign in all competitions, with his only goal coming back in August against Yeovil Town in the EFL Cup.
Everton are next in action on Boxing Day, when they take on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
