West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has told the club’s official website that he is on the right track in his injury recovery.
The defender has been a star man for the Hammers over the last two seasons, establishing himself as a first-team star after a move from Ipswich Town.
This season has not started well for him though as he picked up knee ligament damage in a pre-season friendly with Karlsruher.
Scans revealed the injury to be a bad one, with him subsequently ruled out for the first four months of the season.

It was a major blow to both him and West Ham, but he has provided positive news, saying he is on the right track to recovery.
“I’m on the right track,” he told the club’s official website.
“The main thing is that the knee is healing properly and that I don’t rush back and have to start again. No matter if it’s a couple of weeks or however long it is, it’s about getting it right.”

Despite not intending to rush his return, Cresswell will certainly be hoping to get back to full fitness as soon as possible.
A big incentive will be the possible chance of earning his first international call-up under Sam Allardyce.
The new England boss has already handed teammate Michail Antonio his first call-up and if he can get one, Cresswell is not likely to be far down in his former manager’s thoughts either.
