Leeds United wrapped up the signing of Aapo Halme today.

Leeds United completed the signing of Aapo Halme today.
The 19-year-old Finnish defender has joined on a four-year deal from HJK Helsinki for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around £500,000.

Halme, who stands at 6’4, is a promising centre-back who will initially ply his trade in Leeds’ developmental squad.
And the big man himself claimed on Instagram that he was delighted to join the Elland Road club.
Plenty of other young prospects are in Leeds’ Under-23 squad after joining last summer and it will be interesting to see how quick he emerges as a first-team prospect, if at all.
Halme is a lot more experienced than other players in the youth squad, having been a regular fixture in HJK’s senior squad, whereas so many of his new team-mates under Carlos Corberan were plucked from academies.
