Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers sold Declan John last summer.

It’s fair to say that Andy Halliday didn’t have his best game in a Rangers shirt on Sunday.
The Gers breezed past East Fife to reach the next round of the Scottish League Cup.
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard used Halliday as a left-back and, considering he’s a midfielder by trade, the Scot was found out a little.
Halliday is no stranger to that role really, but it looked like it yesterday and bringing in a left-back must be top of the agenda for Gerrard in the final couple weeks of the transfer window.
The light Blues boss inherited a decent left-back in the form of Declan John when he took over at Ibrox, but the Wales international was sold to Swansea City last August.
And some fans reckon that the 24-year-old would be a useful option around now.
The addition of Borna Barisic pushed John out of the picture in Glasgow, which now looks a major mistake by virtue of the fact that the Croat – who cost £2.2 million – has been a huge disappointment.
The Swans ace hasn’t made a Championship appearance yet this season, and only made 10 in the league last term – seven of which were starts.
